Top 10 Must-See Horror Movies of 2000

1). Scream 3

Let’s face it, the Scream’s franchise success was inevitable. It is also one of the few franchises to make each film better than the last. Scream 3 is my absolute favorite out of the four and definitely earned its place at the number one spot on this list. All the original characters have returned to be stalked by the infamous Ghostface and a new set of rules have been put in place. They are no longer playing by the rules of a sequel; they are playing by the rules of a trilogy.

What does this mean for our favorite gang? Well, basically no one is safe and everything they think they know no longer applies. This entry dialed up the humor a lot and met some criticism for doing so. However, it is still plenty suspenseful and completely enjoyable.

Starting the movie with the death of a series favorite made us all feel like this was going to be extremely unpredictable. What followed was a suspenseful, action-packed, and murderous trip down memory lane while the present storyline slashed its pathway to the future. It was initially intended to be the last in the series but 11 years later we would get the honor of enjoying Scream 4.
