PopHorror Let's Get Scared
I am very nostalgic about pop culture. I get my news from memes, cartoons, and horror movies from Tubi. It’s a win/win situation. I rooted for the villain in every cartoon I have ever watched (besides Ninja Turtles because they were rad and still are). I am sure I’m not alone in that; here are my top 10 cartoon villains.
10. Serpentor
Serpentor was made to be mystical, filled with the minds of geniuses in history. The serpent came from a direction where COBRA wanted to use this DNA for a new leader who was more decisive than the COBRA Commander, who fell short. Serptenor was featured in a G.I. Joe mini-movie, taking over two episodes of the show. Serpentor has the minds of leaders, such as Genghis Kahn and Julius Caesar.
9. Mumm-ra
Thundercats is very special to me because I used to watch it with my dad. It was like bonding time. It made me call my stepdad simply dad. It’s important to me. Mumm-ra always made me uneasy, and he was a bit spooky. He is the only villain that made my skin crawl. Mumm-Ra was a sorcerer and one of the most iconic villains to date. Nobody knows where he came from; he doesn’t have too much of a backstory.
8. Genghis Rex
Genghis Rex was the ultimate threat to the Dinosaurs. Genghis Rex had come close to killing off the dinosaurs on the other team, which were the two main fighters. I love the show because I love dinosaurs to this day. There is something more remarkable about dinosaurs, which could talk and fight each other. Ghengis Rex didn’t have to look like a monster; he was menacing without it.
7. Plankton
The ultimate enemy of Mr. Krabs and one of the most silly villains. He has tried too many times to get the Krabby Patty recipe, which always ended with a hilarious scene. Plankton could use Spongbob several times, including a Spongebob robot. Plankton will never stop himself until the formula is his.
6. Tex Hex
Another feared monster villain to me, Tex Hex, was a brutal enemy of Marshall Bravestarr. He was a dedicated villain who wouldn’t stop—corrupted into being an enemy of everyone. Tex Hex was a ghastly ghoul from changes in him.
5. Gargamel
As a kid, I was nicknamed Smurf for being short and childlike. It sticks to this day for most of my family and a few very close friends. It’s also because the Smurfs were my favorite cartoon at the time. Gargamel was one of the reasons. Much like Plankton, he wanted the rest of his delicious stew and more. He was always a giant who would destroy the Smurf’s home.
4. Dr. Claw
Dr. Claws voice scared the crap out of me. The fact that you couldn’t see him except for an arm that was lined up with metal and spikes. He always had great Ideas on how to stop Inspector Gadget. Dr. Claw always failed, but that only made him more vital for the next time—a brutal villain.
3. COBRA Commander
This one of all the villains gives you chills. The scariest part about the COBRA Commander was his voice and wondering what he looked like, which we all discovered in the GI Joe movie. The COBRA Commander always had great ideas on his mind with his dastardly crew. His goal was to take over the world as a terrorist cell.
2. Shredder:
Shredder is an extremely close second villains on my list. You would think that I love those Ninja Turtles, that he would be the number one contender, and he was. Shredder was always the failure of a terrorist cell with violent ninjas. Before they came to the Turtle’s situation, Shredder was a former Splinter classmate.
1. Mr. Burns
He is easily my number one villain, even with a close second. Mr. Burns is the most hilarious villain because he was a part of my favorite show. Mr Burns has so many great memories. From his softball team to stealing the sun, he always had something funny to grace the town. He is the ultimate villain with a silly side. Long Live Mr. Burns. (It’s Kerns stupid!)
This is my favorite list I have done so far. Writing it took me back to a better time. I daydreamed a lot about it. It just came over me, and I was back on our couch with chocolate milk, mac, and cheese. Do you agree with this list? Let us know in the comments!
