I am a fan of short stories and films. It’s always amazing to see what people can effectively create in such a short amount of time. I have recently discovered 15 second short films, which astounds me even more. Fifteen seconds?!? Not a lot of time! I had the chance to view these three of these type of films. Keep reading to find out what I thought.
15 Second Short Horror Film Challenge: Zombies of New York
Synopsis
This one is a parody of the old Facebook page “Humans of New York,” where the guy posts a photo of someone he met on the street in New York along with a quote from them. Of course, in film format, it’s a motion picture with a voiceover instead of a printed quote.
My Thoughts:
This is an interesting take on zombies and what they might be thinking.
Honest Horror Films: The Harbinger
You can see the short itself right here.
Synopsis:
Have you ever watched a horror film and thought, “That is NOT what I would do”? So have we. Presenting: Honest Horror Films. In our initial installment, a car full of college kids heads off to the lake to party for the weekend, and comes across a crazy old man in the middle of the road. What happens when he warns them of impending doom? Do they ignore the crazy old man and continue their journey?
My Thoughts:
I laughed at this one! Who doesn’t say that when watching movies that have the crazy old man warning the pretty people to stay away. But then, I guess we wouldn’t have much of a horror flick if they turned around and went back, would we?
Honest Horror Films: The Basement
Synopsis:
This was Lloyd Kaufman’s #1 choice from his top 10 films of the 15 Second Horror Film Challenge 2017. Presenting: Honest Horror Films: The Basement. This is what happens when you put people with common sense into horror films – the movie ends in 15 seconds. In this installment, we find out what happens when normal people hear a loud, scary noise coming from the basement. We present to you… The Basement.
My Thoughts:
Would you go into the basement if you heard a noise to check it out? Let’s face it, this is a realistic response.
I enjoyed these films! Maybe not as horrific as expected, but still a lot of fun! Which one is your favorite? I love The Harbinger and that crazy old man. Let us know what you think below! Stay tuned to PopHorror for all your news, reviews, interviews and much more!
