Small Town Monsters has debuted their first miniseries, Seth Breedlove’s On the Trail of Bigfoot. It’s a six episode series that was filmed in fourteen U.S. states and features over twenty interviews with witnesses, investigators, historians, and researchers on the American legend. I love stuff like this so I’m hoping it is enlightening and brings new information to all things Bigfoot.
This miniseries documentary is from director, writer, producer, narrator and star, Seth Breedlove, who spent weeks out in the forested regions of the United States with those seeking evidence of Bigfoot. What did he discover? Well, you’ll just have to find out by watching it.
Plot line:
Setting out to document the entire history of the Bigfoot phenomenon as well as the ongoing search to find the creature, the six episodes of On the Trail of Bigfoot promises to take audiences deeper into the subject than they’ve ever gone before. From mysterious reports of ape-like beasts in newspapers in the late 1800s to modern day encounters with the legendary creature, accounts of run-ins with an unknown being in the forests of North America have existed for centuries. But what does the search entail and who are the people looking for the monster?
In On the Trail of Bigfoot, Seth Breedlove travels from coast to coast, visiting fourteen states, and interviewing two dozen individuals who take part in the hunt for what most people regard as a myth. Along the way, evidence is offered in the form of footprint casts, hair samples, strange recorded sounds and even video of what is purported to be a Bigfoot. From the forests of the Pacific Northwest to the hills of Pennsylvania, to deep southern swamps and the Ouachita Mountains of Oklahoma, Breedlove joins investigators seeking to prove the creature’s existence.
Honestly, I thought this documentary was one of the best and entertaining ones I’ve seen in awhile. It’s stocked full of information and history of how the Bigfoot phenomenon began. Not only does make it intriguing for those don’t know much about the history of Bigfoot but it also gain interest of those who Bigfoot experts. I know a few guys who are super big into this legendary beast and are going to absolutely love this.
I’m glad they decided to do a six episode series. Each episode is around 30 minutes or less which makes them entertaining, educational, but not time consuming. You can watch one and then wait another week to watch the others, or binge them all in one sitting. I chose to binge the series as I found the whole thing fascinating and wanted to see what they discovered next. Seth Breedlove is so passionate about this subject and it shows throughout the series plus other projects he’s done.
I’m not sure what I believe, but stories like, and well made documentaries like do make me wonder what if. I can’t deny that the evidence is out there and that there is a possibility. What about you? Do you believe in the big guy?
