Fantasia 2019 Capsule Review: ‘Riot Girls’ – All Is Fair In Love and War

It’s been a pleasure covering films for Fantasia 2019. In my opinion, this has been one of their best years yet and I saw so many wonderful films. However, my favorite was hands down, Riot Girls.

Riot Girls is a fucking blast from beginning to end. A female version of The Warriors that will make you cry, laugh, and leave you wanting to team up with the East Side gang to kick some egotistical and narcissistic ass!

Riot Girls

This film was directed by Jovanka Vuckovic and written by Katherine Collins. The cast includes Madison Iseman, Paloma Kwiatkowski, Munro Chambers, Alexandre Bourgeois, Ajay Freiese, and Atticus Mitchell.

Synopsis for Riot Girls

In an alternate 1995, a mysterious disease has wiped out all of the adults. In this new age, two gangs are pitted against each other in a brutal war for territory, resources and survival.

This indie from Cranked Up will premiere in select theaters and On Demand September 13 and you won’t want to miss all this awesomeness!
