Cinedigm’s ‘Red Stone’ Hits Theaters and Streaming on December 3

Two of the most versatile character actors around, Neal McDonough and Michael Cudlitz, star in Red Stone, a crime thriller with some deep philosophical arcs about the duality of human nature.

From the official press release:

Official Synopsis: A dangerous hitman (Neal McDonough) is tasked with hunting down a teenager who witnessed the murder of his older brother at the hands of a ruthless Southern crime lord (Michael Cudlitz). The hired gun must track down the boy before either the rival henchmen or the F.B.I. find him first. As the hours tick down, the hitman begins to question his deadly ways and must choose which side he belongs to.

Red Stone, written and directed by Derek Presley, takes a gritty look at the conflicting duality that rages in all of us. The film was produced by Austin Williams, Jason Starne and Robert Johnson. Alex Blackmon and Dwayne Williams are executive producers, with music composed by Stephen Endelman (De-Lovely) and sound editing by Academy Award® Winner Skip Lievsay.

Derek Presley said:

“Right and wrong are these concepts that we feel we understand so well, yet they can be eerily fluid ideas. That theme is at the center of this story, where Red Stone explores the idea that ‘good people’ can do bad things just as easily as ‘bad people’ can do good things. Boon’s (McDonough) character becomes a conduit for any of us, who at one point or another, have said this is not the path we want to follow.”

The action-thriller stars Neal McDonough (Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, Captain America: The First Avenger, Yellowstone) and Michael Cudlitz (The Walking Dead, Band of Brothers, The Kids Are Alright); it also features Mike Dopud (X-Men: Days of Future Past, Power), Dominic Scott Kay (Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End), Alexandria DeBerry (The Legend of the 5 Mile Cave) and Dash Melrose (Ida Red, Little Fires Everywhere). Red Stone will be available on December 3, 2021, in select theaters, on Premium VOD & Digital.

About Kevin Scott

Parents who were not film savvy and completely unprepared for choosing child appropriate viewing material were the catalyst that fueled my lifelong love affair with horror, exploitation, blaxploitation, low budget action, and pretty much anything that had to be turned off when my grandparents visited. I turned out okay for the most part, so how bad could all these films actually be?
