Night of the Demons Movie Trivia

80s Animation: Animation in the opening credits was part of a required formula for films in the 80s. This staple almost did not make it into Night of the Demons (1988). The director, Kevin Tenney, was adamant that there was not going to be animation in the opening credits of the film for budgetary reasons. This all changed when he was provided a sample of what was planned for the film and the rest is history.

Animation from the opening credits

Golden Girl Connection: Emilia Kinkade who played Angela in Night of the Demons (1988) has an aunt who is one of the iconic Golden Girls, Blanche! Rue McClanahan came to the set of Night of the Demons (1988) to provide support and visit her niece.

Love At First Sight: The infamous lipstick scene from Night of the Demons (1988) is responsible for a love connection. The director, Kevin Tenney, confirmed with Linnea Quigley that she was comfortable with the plan for this scene. Once agreeable, she was immediately sent to meet with Steve Johnson who was doing the practical effects for the film to have a mold made of her breasts. They must have experienced sparks between them because Steve Johnson and Linnea Quigley started dating and went on to marry.
