‘Best Christmas Ever’ (2017) Horror Short – Are You Naughty or Nice?

Christmas is just around the corner and I love holiday horror films. They deliver Christmas spirit along with plenty of mayhem and bloodshed. I recently watched the horror comedy Best Christmas Ever and loved the originality of it.

The short is written and directed by Mike Lenzini (Beast: A Monster Among Men, Signal). The film stars Drew Marvick (Pool Party Massacre) as Santa and Degan Marvick as Johnny.

Official Synopsis for Best Christmas Ever:

A naughty little boy named Johnny drugs Santa in order to get Christmas presents.

Best Christmas Ever is just under 6 minutes and delivers a fun and dark horror comedy, unlike any other Christmas tales I’ve seen. I didn’t know what to expect and just went along for the ride. I’m definitely glad I did.

Actor – Drew Marvick, Makeup by – Katie Jacobs

Best Christmas Ever

Drew Marvick is fantastic as always. He kills it as Santa and delivers his performance in a charmingly dark humor fashion. But is he naughty or nice? You’ll have to watch the short to find out.

However, I can’t forget to mention Johnny played by Drew’s son. He played a naughty boy perfectly. I dug how resourceful he was though and how he faught for what he wanted, even if it was selfish. With his skills, he can definitely play in a remake of Home Alone.

The ending was my favorite part. It was a wicked little twist and I didn’t see it coming. I think fans will appreciate the originally and add it to their list of favorites to watch during the Holiday season.

Final Thoughts:

Best Christmas Ever delivered the right mix of horror and comedy in just under 6 minutes. Everything about the short was of great quality and I look forward to more projects from Mike Lenzini and Drew Marvick in the future.
