Something always draws me to short horror stories. It amazes me how people can tell a horrific tale in such a short amount of time. This year, I had the opportunity to watch quite a few great short films that scare. I stumbled across Canada’s 15 Second Horror Film Challenge the other day and I couldn’t wait to check out some of the submissions from 2017, the project’s third year. My interest was piqued, and I watched all of those amazing 15 second films, which were judged by some pretty familiar names in horror. Here are the top three films from the challenge, including Emma by Daniel Limmer.
Third Place: Free Fallin’ directed by Derek Bensonhaver
We’ve all had this dream, right? The one where you are free falling? This one delves into what happens if you don’t wake up.
Second Place: Daddy Daughter Day directed by Derek Bensonhaver
We’ve all had this fear this could happen, right? Ouch!
First Place: Emma directed by Daniel Limmer
This one is eerie and disturbing!
These are some jaw droppers for sure! You can watch the top 20 videos on the 15 Second Horror Film Challenge YouTube channel. Each one is fantastic.
