Who’s your horror movie crush? Ever since I had watched Re-Animator when I was a young teenager, I had a huge crush on Barbara Crampton. To this day, I still think she is absolutely stunning and I know I would make an ass out of myself if I ever got the chance to meet her.
Who’s your favorite movie directors? Two of my all time favorite horror movie directors would be Dario Argento and John Carpenter. They both have such unique film styles that are easy to tell that they were behind the scenes. Argento and Carpenter have both had an amazing run of horror films, especially back in the ’80s.
What is your favorite horror musical? This one is kind of a mix of horror and comedy, although it is more along the lines of comedy. My all time favorite horror musical comes from Troma and it is Cannibal: The Musical, which was the first film made by Trey Parker and Matt Stone from South Park fame. If you haven’t seen this, I highly recommend it!
What’s your favorite horror TV series? My all time favorite horror TV series would be the HBO classic Tales from the Crypt. Out of seven seasons, there is only one episode that I think is not very good.
Who are your favorite horror authors? This is a popular opinion I believe, and it is Stephen King. Throughout his career, he has put out a ton of great books.
What are your favorite horror novels/short stories? This is a tough question, so I will just list three novels as some of my favorites. The first one would be Hell House by Richard Matheson. There was a movie based of this novel called Legend of Hell House. While it’s not a bad adaptation, it is no where near as vile and as explicit as the novel. The other two are from the same series: John Dies at the End and This Book is Full of Spiders: Seriously Dude, Don’t Touch It. They were written by David Wong and it is more of a comedy/horror/sci-fi novel. If you want something completely weird and out there, I highly recommend these books.
Other than horror, what is your favorite genre? What is your favorite non-horror movie or show? I would have to say my favorite non-horror genre would be fantasy. Since I’m an ’80s child, I would have to pick The Labyrinth as my favorite non-horror movie.
Who is your favorite slasher villain? This one is a pretty simple question. I would have to go with Jason Voorhees.
If electricity and equipment were not a problem, what five horror movies would you want with you if you were stranded on a desert island? I would have to go with movies that are extremely entertaining to me. So I would pick The Editor, Gremlins, Sleepaway Camp 2, The Thing, and Shaun of the Dead.
What’s your favorite horror movie quote? One of my favorite quotes would be from Shaun of the Dead when they are making their plans. “Take car. Go to Mum’s. Kill Phil – ‘Sorry.’ – grab Liz, go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for all of this to blow over. How’s that for a slice of fried gold?”
