My Thoughts

If you like movies that break the foruth wall, have a lot of action and revenge for bad things happening to good people, then you’ll definitely love The Toxic Avenger.

I love that they used people that have disabilities in this film and portrayed the people with disabilities as heroes, with how Toxie is portrayed. I also love that they collaborated with the original writer  Lloyd Kaufman forThe Toxic Avenger in this revamped 2025 version. If you haven’t seen the original version I would recommend that film as well. Both are excellent works.

Shout out to Macon Blair who was the director and I got to say the special effects that they used for the kills were amazing. They had me believing that the kills were authentic. Make sure you stay until the end as it has a post credit scene.

If you like movies that kick butt in all the right ways then this is the movie for you.

Final Thoughts

I wouldn’t recommend this movie to anyone under the age of 15 because of the sexual jokes and all the blood and guts that are  in it. Also had a good deal of cursing.

If you like superhero comedy and horror packed into one then  you will like The Toxic Avenger.

The film is exclusively in theaters August 29th, 2025.
