Synopsis:

Paranormal investigators Kris, Celina, and their videographer Jay expect the usual scares when they set out on their latest case. But after being mysteriously rerouted to an abandoned house deep in the woods, they find themselves facing a force unlike anything they’ve encountered before. As the night spirals into chaos, missing crew members and eerie phenomena hint at an ancient, malevolent presence watching their every move.

House on Eden was directed by first time director Kris Collins and stars Collins, Celina Myers, Jay Christopher Mayer, Carrie Kid, and Barb Thomas. The film’s runtime is 78 minutes and is rated R. It is distributed by RLJE Films/Shudder.

Final Thoughts

If you like campy comedy in your paranormal horror movies, then you will like House on Eden. I loved the storytelling as Kris narrated a lot of what was going on. I also loved the special effects by Adam Dougherty (Independence Day: Resurgence 2016) that were used.

I wouldn’t recommend this movie to anyone under the age of 13 as it is rated with a hard R with foul language and nudity. There is a little bit of shaking in the actual camerawork, so I wouldn’t recommend watching this film on an empty stomach. There are also a few jump scares, so be forewarned. But if you like campy paranormal horror, classics like Paranormal Activity, or KallMeKris or Celina Spooky Boo, then you’ll definitely love House on Eden.
