Victory International Film Festival, in association with Blood Moon Pictures, is presenting a special 25th anniversary screening of The Blair Witch Project on Friday, Sept. 13, at 7 p.m., at Showplace Cinema East in Evansville, Indiana. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased here.
Producer Gregg Hale will be in attendance to meet fans. Hale has written, directed and produced many genre projects, including V/H/S/2, FreakyLinks, Exists, Lovely Molly and 50 States of Fright. He is currently set to produce Marcus Dunstan’s project Hooked Up. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Hale, hosted by Ted Haycraft, where fans of The Blair Witch Project (check out our retro review) will have a one-on-one opportunity to delve deeper into the mythos of this horror phenomenon.

Three film students vanish after traveling into a Maryland forest to film a documentary on the local Blair Witch legend, leaving only their footage behind.
The event is sponsored by Indiana Arts Commission, the National Endowment for the Arts, The Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana, the City of Evansville, the Vanderburgh Community Foundation, Bravo Media, Showplace Cinemas and Working Distributors.
The 2024 Victory International Film Festival is from Sept. 12-14. The three-day event will present short and feature films from around the world celebrating diverse cultures and the artistry of their filmmakers. In addition, there will be panels and workshops conducted by industry professionals to teach craft and give insights about making movies. Festival tickets can be purchased here.
