Epic Pictures’ ‘Cop Secret’ Brings Cool, Icelandic Action to Theaters and On Demand in July

Cop Secret hits theaters on July 8, 2022, and On Demand July 12, 2022, bringing the classic buddy cop action film back in full force. Writer and Director Hannes Halldórsson channels some hard-edged, nostalgic swagger into his feature film debut. He’s most famous as the goalkeeper for Iceland’s national soccer team, and in filmmaking, pulls no punches with a thrill ride of renegade cops, bad guys, guns and even a Smokey and the Bandit Trans Am.

From the official press release:

Cop Secret, the feature debut from writer-director Hannes Halldórsson, Iceland’s national soccer team goalkeeper, is an Icelandic action-packed, buddy-cop parody that follows Iceland’s toughest cop (Auðunn Blöndal) who clashes with his new partner (Egill Einarsson) when they team up to solve a series of violent bank heists.

About Kevin Scott

Parents who were not film savvy and completely unprepared for choosing child appropriate viewing material were the catalyst that fueled my lifelong love affair with horror, exploitation, blaxploitation, low budget action, and pretty much anything that had to be turned off when my grandparents visited. I turned out okay for the most part, so how bad could all these films actually be?
