Zed Events is the world’s first true post-apocalyptic combat scare attraction. This is a full on, 2+ hour interactive experience where you are a survivor in a post apocalyptic world. With other survivors, you battle for your life across an 250,000 square foot abandoned shopping mall full of combat and horror. Following the success of their world famous Zombie Shopping Mall Experience, the team opened: Wasteland Experience!
Unfortunately, after more than six years of operating at the Mall in Reading, Zed Events are sad to announce the permanent closing of the facility. Now’s your chance to grab the last ever tickets to The Wasteland Experience by Zed Events at the Reading Facility. Take heart, though. The show will ultimately be continued in another haunting location!

Wasteland Experience: The Nuclear Winter Is Here
With the cities of the UK obliterated by nuclear explosions, the world as we know it ended. 6 years later, the few survivors either banded together to form tribes in order to survive, or went insane. Conflict and horror are a way of life. You will join a tribe and together fight for survival across our massive abandoned shopping mall, clashing with other tribes and unknown enemies. Part combat game, part horror attraction, all the insanity of the Wasteland!
– FILM QUALITY COSTUMES, PROPS AND SPECIAL EFFECTS
The Wasteland Experience was put together by using their years of running scare attractions and working in film/TV production. The world you will enter was created by the likes of Mark Cordory Creations, Dust Monkey (who are both amongst the world’s premier post apocalypse costume makers) and the Oscar-Winning Coulier Creatures. Everything you will experience will be utterly insane and very real!
– ULTRA REALISTIC WEAPONS
The Wasteland Experience is powered by the iCombat tactical training system, the most realistic weapon simulation in the world and is used by Police and Military around the globe. This combat system uses ultra-realistic guns with recoil, noise, muzzle flash and hit detection. No projectiles.

Final Thoughts
Sad to see they’re losing their location, but very stoked to hear they are continuing on! I can’t wait to see what new location they develop for future events. We’ll certainly keep you posted on the new digs as we get more info.
