Hey, readers! I don’t know about your area, but in my neck of the woods, fall is drunk off her ass. There was snow on Halloween, and, as I sit and type, it is snowing outside. Yesterday, it was 60 degrees. I just can’t even. Why am I talking about weather? Aside from just complaining, this time of year is when I begin to horde socks, and not just the boring stuff either. I need my freezing footsies to be wrapped in great socks that are funny and/or reflect my personality, and Sockologie has me covered. Check out what I mean.
We want to send a huge thank you to Sockologie for sending these socks to us to open for you guys. I was so shocked by how many arrived at my door. For those of you that don’t know, Sockologie is an online store that carries unique and funny socks for everyone in the family. They carry a variety of brands, including some of my favorites. Let’s dig into what they sent.
The first pair from Sockologie are technically from the women’s section. These are My Little Pony Rainbow Dash crew socks from Ripple Junction. As you can see, my little brony boy loves Rainbow Dash and stole them away. Like many women’s socks, these are on the thinner side and aren’t the best in terms of warmth. They are more for just repping your love for magical ponies. They’re for people with skinny legs and work great as kids socks (albeit slightly big). These are great and a definite win. You can snag a pair for $8. They come in ankle socks, too!
Speaking of getting my socks stolen… My tiny minion is a big Pennywise fan, so these IT socks didn’t stay in my possession for long. These Sockologie socks are from Bioworld, a company that creates many foot coverings featuring some of our favorite horror villains. These are considered men’s socks I believe, but they are definitely not big leg friendly. These fit my child’s legs perfectly, so anything bigger than that may be uncomfortable. They are kid-approved, though. You can get your own scary clown feet for $10.99. Also, Bioworld has some Golden Girls men’s socks that are so incredible, I can’t even stand it.
If regular legs are so passe, and you need zombie legs to get you through the day, then Sockologie has you covered. This is The Socking Dead crew sock from Sock It to Me. I think these are so funny. They aren’t too thick or too thin and aren’t too small for big legs. The design fades just a bit when stretched, but it isn’t too bad. I love these silly socks. They’re a great way to add a little bit of horror to your everyday. You can still snag these for $11.99.
These socks are a total mood. Here we have one of the first pairs from a brand called Blue Q. These are the ultimate procrastination sock. My pair are the women’s crew sock, but they do some in men’s as well. The fabric is a bit thin on these, and they get a little sheer when worn, but if you don’t like your sock material to be too thick, then these are great. Get yours for $10.99-12.99.
I love Edgar Allan Poe, and Sockologie gives you a way to show your love for your favorite literary wizard right on your ankles. These are a women’s crew sock by Socksmith, and the fabric is pretty thin. They are great as work socks under slacks and are big leg friendly. You can grab a pair for only $6.99.
I love these socks so much! These are women’s crew socks, but they are so thick and warm. I love the color scheme and the design is Halloween-themed. They are a little tight on big legs, but I still really like them. You can show off your Halloween love all year round for $10.99, but be aware, they only have small/mediums left.
I really love Blue Q sock designs and Sockologie carries a TON of them. I have seen Blue Q socks in a lot of small specialty stores over the years but never as many in one place as at Sockologie. This particular pair has a little girl on a bicycle with the words, “Raising hell.” I adore the design and the colors are great, but there’s just one thing wrong with these… they are both right feet! I was super disappointed to put them on, only to realize my left foot had the design on the inside rather than on the outside where it belonged. I was super sad! Unfortunately, this isn’t the only pair that would play me. But first…
This sock is my mood a good chunk of the time. “Fuck off, I’m gaming,” is all too real, especially during Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. These are men’s crew socks, so they are friendlier to big legs. They are also a bit thicker than the women’s socks, which is appreciated. I imagine these will disappear from my sock drawer as well. Unfortunately, this design is sold out, but they do have other fun video game themed socks from Blue Q.
Here we have another Sockologie pair from Sock It to Me called Pumpkin Head, and it is Halloween level 99. I love the frall colors on these men’s crew socks, and they have a good thickness in the fabric. These are big leg friendly and are just so comfortable. You can add these to your autumn wardrobe for $11.50.
Ya’ll, these are the socks that had me all messed up. As soon as I saw these on the website, I knew they belonged to me. That amorphous blob is my spirit animal! I couldn’t wait to put these one. Then, to my horror, I find out that, like the Hell raiser socks, these are two right feet! My hopes were dashed! I can admit that I was super disappointed because these socks are great all around. The height, fabric, stretch and comfort are all 100%, but it just two right feet!!
That’s all for the Sockologie unboxing. I was super impressed with their variety and massive selection. I love that they also include socks for kids. With the holidays coming up, you can get stocking stuffers for just about everyone in your family. Be mindful, socks from Blue Q may come with two right socks, since 2 out of my 4 came messed up. While it seems like nitpicking, things like that bug me to no end. It’s just so disappointing. The other socks came in perfect condition. All of them are super comfortable and have great designs. They just added a whole bunch of new designs to the website, so I recommend checking them out HERE. Even those these socks were sent to me by Sockologie, I am not paid for this review, and my opinions on the products and company are my own. Keep an eye on PopHorror for more unboxings on the site all the time!
