The Twilight Zone Gets Interactive Reboot

News broke via The Wrap earlier that Rod Serling’s classic sci-fi anthology series, The Twilight Zone, will be getting a reboot once again, but in a different way. The show will feature interactive options for viewers, along the lines of a “Choose Your Own Adventure” story. Interactive video company, Interlude, is partnering with CBS to make it all happen. In addition, Ken Levine, creator of BioShock, will write and direct The Twilight Zone’s pilot episode.

Although this is new territory for Interlude, they are also working with MGM to reboot 1983’s WarGames with the same type of viewer interaction. With these projects falling somewhere between a show and video game, it will be interesting to see how the things develop. If successful, there will no doubt be limitless potential in the horror and sci-fi genre.
