Toshiaki Toyoda’s ‘Blue Spring’ Available Soon!

Toshiaki Toyoda’s (9 Souls 2003, Hanging Garden 2005) cult classic, Blue Spring, which was adapted from the famous manga, Aoi Haru, by Taiyo Matsumoto, is finally getting its world region-free Blu-ray! The film will debut on all region dual-formats on Blu-ray and DVD with collectible slipcase on May 13, 2019. The release features a new audio commentary by the director and a Making Of from the film’s original release.

Synopsis:

One of the best examples of early 2000s Japanese cinema, Blue Spring is a brutal tale of youth anarchy in high school and launched the careers of many now popular actors such as Ryuhei Matsuda (The Raid 2 2014), Hirofumi Arai (100 Yen Love 2014) and Eita (Memories of Matsuko 2006).
