The Prettiest Zombie in the Afterlife: My Pretty Zombie Unboxing

We can’t get enough horror-themed cosmetics here at PopHorror. We unboxed LunatiCK Cosmetics Lab and Apocalyptic Beauty in the past, and now, we have another amazing cosmetic company called My Pretty Zombie that takes your love of horror and puts it right on your face. They have everything from face powders to loose pigments, blushes to lipsticks. Check out our unboxing video below, and then keep reading for more information.

We want to send a giant thank you to My Pretty Zombie for sending us these items for us to unbox and swatch for you. We received eyeshadows, a setting powder, a blush, and a lipstick. I chose loose eyeshadow pigments in a similar color family from the website, but My Pretty Zombie has an array of hues and tones. Let’s take a look at them.

We received the colors Anthrax, Tenderloin, Everything Looks Better on a Meat Hook, Grimdeva and Stab You Forever. The pigment is super soft and fine. Even the glitter is super fine. I will mention in the swatching below which ones are lip safe and vegan.

First to be swatched is Anthrax. This is a purple shade with an intense green shift. It’s a pretty light color but gorgeous. When the green shift wears away, what is left is a royal purple metallic shade. This one is neither vegan nor lip safe.

Next up is Tenderloin. This shade is a fuschia-puce that immediately makes you think of raw, red meat. It is a light metallic that slightly stains the skin. This one is also neither vegan nor lip safe.

Next on the swatches is one of my favorite shades called Everything Looks Better on a Meat Hook. This one is a purple-brown-red base with a gorgeous blue-green shift. When the shift wears away, you are left with a fleshy, purple-red color that I just adore. This one is vegan and lip safe.

The next one is a shade called Grimdeva. This buttery, loose pigment is lovely and light. It has a deep, lilac base shade with a fuschia shift. You will need a primer with this one, as it wears away pretty easily. When it does, it leaves no base color behind. This one is also vegan and lip safe.

The last shade is very different from the previous ones. It even has its own fancy label! It is called Stab You Forever, and it is the darkest of the bunch. This pigment has a dark plum base with a similar blue-green shift like Everything Looks Better on a Meat Hook, but they are two very different shades. Stab You Forever has a cooler, bluer base, while Everything Looks Better on a Meat Hook has a distinctly redder base. This shade is also vegan and lip safe.

All eye pigments are $5.50.

The last set of items in our My Pretty Zombie box are the lipstick, blush and beauty dust. First up is the lipstick in the shade, Everything Looks Better on a Meat Hook. This is a moderately sheer but buildable color that features the same brown-red , brick-ish base as the loose pigment, but it really tones down the shimmer. While I love this color on the model, it didn’t look all that great on me and wore down a bit weirdly. I love the color in an eyeshadow a lot more than the lipstick. My personal stick has a big hole right down the center, which makes applying a little strange. You can snag this lipstick for $6.60.

Next up is the Drug Like Me Mescaline blush, one for when you want to totally rock a Goth, undead look. It is also vegan and lip safe, to use you want to darken your lipstick or make your satin black lip look a little more matte. It would also make for a gorgeous eyeshadow. It’s not a straight black shade, though. It is a blackish brown with peachy copper shimmer. It is stunning, and I will definitely be using this as an eyeshadow. Drug Like Me Mescaline blush is vegan and lip safe. Get yours for $8.80.

The last item in the My Pretty Zombie unboxing is a green-tinted setting powder called Dr. Pickles Glow Beauty Dust, which comes in colors like pink, gold, green and purple. This particular shade is green and is used as a setting powder over foundation or BB cream. At first, I wasn’t sure how green-tinted powder would work over a whole face, but it’s basically the shimmer that is lightly green. I would 100% use this as a highlighter, and if I were feeling more adventurous, as a setting powder. It is very light and very pretty. This particular product formula is vegan but not lip safe. It can be yours for $14.30.

That’s it for the My Pretty Zombie cosmetics unboxing! The company offers $1 samples for many of their products on the website, if you ever want to try any item. These colors are swatched on medium olive skin, so they may look differently on fairer or deeper skin tones. You can shop their entire collection HERE. I think my favorite item of the whole box may be the Mescaline Blush, but I plan on using it as an eyeshadow. Keep your eye on PopHorror for more amazing unboxings headed your way!
