We’re on the last day of Women and Horror Month and we have some fantastic news! Jennifer Carchietta, the writer and producer of the highly anticipated film Get My Gun, has released the official poster art and it’s absolutely stunning!
“You’ve made your bed, now die in it” are some pretty powerful words and we love it! Get My Gun is brought to us by Tragic Bus studios and is directed by Brian Darwas. The crew and cast is predominately female including Kate Hoffman, Christy Casey, Rossanne Rubino, Jacqueline Guillen, and William Jousset. Get My Gun is the ultimate revenge story and will take us back to the “hey-day” of genre cinema.
“The film follows the character of Amanda, whom after an innocent prank, finds herself pregnant and out of a job. On the verge of motherhood and out of a job, she becomes the target of a psychotic stalker who will stop at nothing to get her hands on the unborn child.”
When asked in the official press release what inspired director Brian Darwas and producer Jennifer Carchietta to create this story, they said:
“BD: What drives most movies, and stories in general, is the audience’s desire to see the protagonist overcome the odds. We thought “what’s the worst thing that could happen to a young woman just starting out in life. . . and, how could it possibly get worse from there?”
JC: We wanted the viewer to become not only engaged, but also be invested in the character of Amanda’s struggles. If they can go through it with her, they can share in that same feeling of catharsis at the end if she overcomes the odds. . . just about everyone applauds at the end of the movie, so I think we accomplished that goal (smiles)”
Get My Gun is currently in the final stages of post-production, so keep an eye out for it sometime in 2017. Until then, you can stay up to date by following their Facebook and Instagram. We can’t wait to see more about this film, what about you guys?
