Shudder’s The Last Drive-In, starring Joe Bob Briggs (read our interview with him here), was officially picked up for a second season. We told you all about it several months ago. The only question we had was, “When?” The wait has gotten especially difficult with all this social distancing and stay at home crap going on. Well, we’ve got some good news for you. Season 2 is almost here! We can’t wait, and we know you can’t, either!

Read on for all the details!

The Last Drive-In Season 2 Synopsis

“Proving once again that ‘the drive-in will never die,’ iconic horror host and exploitation movie aficionado Joe Bob Briggs is back with an all-new season of weekly Friday night double features streaming live exclusively on Shudder. Over the course of ten episodes, The Last Drive-In series will offer an eclectic selection of movies running the gamut from horror classics to obscurities and foreign cult favorites along with the occasional surprise guest. A Shudder Original Series. Also on Shudder Canada; some episodes also available on demand on Shudder UK.”

Season 1 featured classics like Q: The Winged Serpent (1982 – directed by Larry Cohen) and Madman (1981 – directed by Joe Giannone). That’s exciting to learn that Season 2 will feature 10 new episodes!
