Surprise! Kaiju Fan Favorite Robert Scott Field Involved In SyFy’s ‘Monster Island’!

We’re pretty big fans of kaiju over here at PopHorror, so when we get news on new films, we can’t wait to share it with you guys. Not only do we have info on a brand new movie coming out NEXT MONTH on SyFy called Monster Island, but we also found out that Kaiju fan favorite Robert Scott Field (Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah 1991, The Great Buddha Arrival upcoming) did the Japanese voice acting for a scene. Monster Island Synopsis:

As the world tries to stop a giant Kaiju bent on destruction more and more monsters appear – each one more terrible than the last – leaving mankind defenseless until our heroes reach out to a specialist versed in monster lore.

Monster Island is coming at you from Asylum Entertainment and will be premiering much sooner than you think. Not only will the film be shown on SyFy on June 1st, but it will also release on VOD and DVD on June 13th and on SVOD on September 13th. Filmmaker Mark Atkins (Android Cop 2014) wrote and directed Monster Island, while The Great Buddha Arrival’s Toshi Toda, Oscar Nominee Eric Roberts (The Dark Knight 2008), Chris Fisher, Adrian Bouchet (Predator Dark Ages 2015), Meghan Oberholzer (6-Headed Shark Attack 2018), Natalie Robbie, Jonathan Pienaar (Empire of the Sharks 2017) and Donna Cormack lend their voices to the characters. David Michael Latt, David Rimawi and Paul Bales produced.
