“Vacation, all I ever wanted. Vacation, had to get away. Vacation, wish it would never end.” Ain’t that the truth? Despite the Halloween decorations in my house, it is, in fact, still summer, and you know that that means?? The summer 2019 Nick Box is out, and I think this is the best one yet. Check out my unboxing video below, and then keep reading for pictures and more information!
We want to send a huge thank you to CultureFly for sending the summer 2019 this box our way. I have been opening the Nick Box since their winter 2018 box, and each one has gotten better and better. Let’s take a peek into the summer suitcase that is the summer 2019 Nick Box.
The first items out of the box were two figurines, one vinyl and one bobblehead. It was a little unexpected to receive two figurines, and I’d personally rather receive only one, but that’s just my opinion, since I am not a big figurine collector. If you are, then two is the dream. The first is an adorable vinyl figurine of beach bound Stimpy. He is fairly light but solid, and I just love him. I used to watch Ren and Stimpy too much as a kid, and it was a show my dad loved as well.
Also included was a bobble head of Gerald from Hey, Arnold! I wish it was a different character like Helga, but the bobble head looks just like Gerald, and it’s pretty adorable.
Next out of the summer 2019 Nick Box is the item that will absolutely get the most use in my house. I have a young child, so I have a stash of hand sanitizer on my person at all times. With fall and winter swiftly moving towards us, something like this will get a ton of use. A Filbert hand sanitizer holder is exactly what I needed in my life. It comes with an empty bottle, so I can refill it with my favorite scents. As an adult, I can relate to Filbert on a spiritual level, so I love this a lot.
Also included from the Rocko’s Modern Life universe is a frame featuring Rocko and Heifer! The frame is soft plastic with a soft plastic insert. It looks JUST like the animation style! It isn’t a hanging frame but a desktop frame.
Next up we have our wearable, which features Fun Land from Rugrats! It has the Fun Land sign on the front and then the mountain of ice cream mini golf on the back. CultureFly shirts are always extremely soft, and this is no exception, although it is different than their previous wearables. I get them in a unisex XL, and they usually fit perfectly. White fabrics tend to fit differently than darker ones, so this shirt does fit considerably tighter than past shirts. It isn’t too tight to wear. It’s just a less comfortable fit, something that tends to happen with apparel of different colors.
Next up out of this Nick Box are a couple of Angry Beaver enamel pins! These guys are made just a little differently than others, with images that have been placed over the metal pins and then enameled. This means you don’t have to worry about colors bleeding together. One of my beavers is slightly askew and not perfectly lined up on its pin, but you can only tell if you are looking for imperfections. They are both double backed, which is a win, and if you like The Angry Beavers, these are a cute addition to your collection.
Also inside the Nick Box is a pack of postcards, and I think it was pretty awesome for CultureFly to think of giving two of each postcard. That way, you can send one and keep the other. It’s a small detail, but it changes the game. The postcards feature four designs from cities across the Nick-verse, like Bikini Bottom, Ocean Shores, Hillwood and O-Town. They are pretty adorable.
The last item out of the summer 2019 Nick Box box is an AWESOME and super practical item… a large toiletry bag covered in our favorite ’90s Nickelodeon characters. You see Nigel Thornberry, Angelica, Ren and Stimpy, Reptar, Filbert and a ton more. This bag is wicked awesome, especially if you travel a lot, and is such a nice size for a toiletry bag. It’s huge and a really fun design.
Out of everything in the summer 2019 Nick Box, the Filbert hand sanitizer holder and the toiletry bag are my favorites. They will get SO much use, and I love their additions in the box. The Nick Box is a quarterly box for $49.99, and if you love ’90s Nick cartoons, you are going to LOVE this box. While PopHorror is an affiliate with CultureFly, meaning for every box you purchase through our link, you help keep PopHorror up and running, I am not personally paid for these reviews, so the opinions are all my own. I personally love all of the CultureFly boxes. They are always my favorites to unbox. You can check out our Spring unboxing here, and you can shop for your own summer box HERE.
