To be honest, I’ve always found ice cream trucks to be a little creepy. The calliope music, the boxy truck… all of it. Yeah, they serve delicious ice cream of all different flavors, but that’s only to trick us from the truth! On that note, check out the official trailer for The Ice Cream Truck!
Distributed by Uncork’d Entertainment, The Ice Cream Truck was directed and written by Megan Freels Johnston. The film stars Deanna Russo (Being Human, Gossip Girl), Dana Gaier (Despicable Me 3), John Redlinger (Thirst, Banshee), Emil Johnsen (Isolerad), Hilary Barraford (Go For Sisters), Jeff Daniel Phillips (31), and Lisa Ann Walter (War of the Worlds).
Official Synopsis:
Mary’s husband gets relocated for work which allows her to move back to her suburban hometown. As her family ties up loose ends back home, Mary moves into their new house all alone and….waits. Yet in this idealistic world, something seems very odd. The Ice Cream Man, a symbol of youth and good times, starts killing some of her neighbors. Mary soon learns that the suburbs are scarier in more ways that she ever remembered.
Honestly, this looks deliciously cheesy and I think it’s the perfect summer flick! Plus, now I know I’m not the only one that finds ice cream trucks creepy.
