Stranger Things Season 2: New Poster, Fun News, and Release Date!

Want to catch up on the goings-on in Hawkins? Well, wait no further because Stranger Things season 2 airs October 27th. Just in time for Halloween too and only a few months away! Plus, check out this jaw-droppingly beautiful poster that was released today.

The poster shows our four plucky protagonists riding towards what looks to be the new big monster threatening the town of Hawkins. It also pays homage to Stephen King heavily with reference to The Stand, Stand By Me, and The Mist. We also got a teaser trailer during the Super Bowl that definitely had a nod to Ghostbusters.

Netflix also put out a new fun teaser trailer on its Twitter account – which is basically a live action version of the poster. The Super Bowl trailer, however, is definitely the one that got everyone pumped up for Season 2 as things hit the proverbial fan.

The series picks up where the first season left off. According to Netflix:

It’s 1984 and the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana are still reeling from the horrors of the demagorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside Down but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived.

The cast is also going to be at the biggest comic book convention – San Diego Comic Con. The creators and cast will be holding a panel about the hit show so hopefully, we get some more information on Season 2.
