Stephen King’s Castle Rock about to Begin Filming

According to the Lowell Sun, the new Castle Rock series by Stephen King and J.J. Abrams will be going in front of cameras soon. Are you excited?

“The production crews are starting to build sets on site. Filming is expected to begin in August and run until January.”

Synopsis:

Based on the stories of Stephen King, the series will intertwine characters and themes from the fictional town of Castle Rock.

The show is set to air on Hulu sometime in 2018. Castle Rock is a fictional town in Maine that appears in many of Stephen Kings novels. The show is expected to be a crossover of various stories and characters who have appeared in the books.

Below is the teaser trailer for the show. Some of the stories and characters referenced in the teaser include: It, Dolores Claiborne, Needful Things, Salem’s Lot, Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption, Dreamcatcher, Night Shift, The Green Mile, Misery, Hearts In Atlantis, The Shining, The Mangler, Four Past Midnight, Different Seasons, Nightmares & Dreamscapes, and The Night Flier.

Everything else about the show has been pretty secretive. The only cast currently listed is Andre Holland as Henry. It will be interesting to see just what they do with the show and how it comes out. King and Abrams have teamed up before with 11-22-63 which was an amazing show. So we are excited to see the progress on this project. What are your thoughts on the new Castle Rock show?
