Kane Hodder, known for playing Jason Voorhees in numerous Friday the 13th installments, made a shocking announcement this morning via You Tube. After a personal “epiphany” regarding violence in cinema, the stuntman turned actor is significantly altering his career trajectory to focus on “family friendly” entertainment exclusively. It’s an announcement sure to devastate legions horror fans and followers worldwide. Hear Hodder explain his transition in the heartfelt confessional below.

The video is actually a tie-in to the documentary, To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story; it’s being produced by Masterfully Macabre Entertainment . The film is currently in the midst of a furious Indiegogo campaign, hoping to raise $50K by May 25th; so far, they’ve been pledged just over $16K. Obviously, they’ve got some hard work ahead of them.
