PopHorror Let's Get Scared
Screamfest is underway and runs from October 9 – 18 at the TCL Chinese 6 Theatres. The festival was originally formed in August 2001 by film producer Rachel Belofsky. It is a non-profit organization that gives filmmakers and screenwriters in the horror and science fiction genres a venue to have their work showcased in the film industry. Screamfest celebrated the World Premiere of The Amityville Murders this Tuesday with a number of special guests on hand for the show!

The Amityville Murders Synopsis
On the night of November 13, 1974, Ronald DeFeo, Jr. took a high-powered rifle and murdered his entire family as they slept. At his trial, DeFeo claimed that “voices” in the house commanded him to kill. This is their story.
Screamfest attendees from the film included: Chelsea Ricketts (Crooked Arrows, The Hole), Diane Franklin (Amityville II: The Possession, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure), and Director, writer, producer Daniel Farrands (The Haunting of Sharon Tate).
Other special guests included Lin Shaye (Insidious franchise, The Grudge reboot, Screamfest 2018 Ambassador), and Lydia Hearst (Condemned, #Horror, Screamfest 2016 Ambassador).
