PopHorror Let's Get Scared
Netflix… You are beginning to really show that you want to work things out. As if Stranger Things wasn’t amazing enough it looks like the streaming giant is dipping its toes in the horror pond once again. This time it is with the upcoming horror comedy, Santa Clarita Diet. The trailer was just released and all I can say is, “Take my Money!” Check out the hilariously terrifying trailer below.
There are a plethora of directors attached to this including Ruben Fleischer, Ken Kwapis, Marc Buckland, and Tamra Davis. What really excites me is that it stars two Scream Franchise veterans, Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant. They play a married couple who are really taking this “in sickness and in health” vow a bit too far. They clearly are completely ignoring the “til death do us part” vow because Drew’s character becomes the undead. That is not enough to chase away her husband. In fact, it strengthens their bond because it looks like they will be hunting for human food, for her, together.
Santa Clarita Diet looks like it is on track to become a genre fence-rider that will be quite successful. From the trailer, it looks like they won’t be skimping on the gore either. It premieres this upcoming Friday on February 3rd, 2017. So, make sure your payment information is up to date and grab some popcorn. This is sure to create a binge-watching epidemic!
