Rob Zombie to Host ’13 Nights of Horror Films’ in October on HDNet

According to Horror News Network, the shock film director, Rob Zombie, is set to host thirteen nights of horror films. In the spirit of the classic horror hosts such as Elvira and Vampirella, Zombie will be on the air hosting a series of classic horror films along with some modern movies.

The special event, entitled Rob Zombie’s 13 Nights of Halloween, is said to feature films ranging “… from horror classics such as The Last House On The Left (1972) and The Blob (1958) to modern favorites including The Devil Inside (2012) and Case 39 (2009). ”

Zombie is well known as a heavy metal singer and musician as well as directing his own set of horror classics, House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejects. Although when it comes to Rob Zombie, many fans either love his work or hate it.

HDNet will be posting a full list of the films that he’ll be hosting on their website soon. It will be interesting to see what kind of thing he does as a host to entertain audiences. He definitely won’t be able to fill Elvira’s shoes (who could?) and I don’t see him being as silly as Svengoolie. I guess we’ll have to tune in to find out. Will you be watching Rob Zombie hosting 13 nights of horror films?
