Producer Sam Raimi brings us a twisted new take of the horror classic. Check out the official red band trailer and poster for the upcoming film, The Grudge.

Directed by Nicolas Pesce with a cast starring Andrea Riseborough, Demián Bichir, John Cho, Betty Gilpin, Lin Shaye, and Jacki Weaver. This film is based on the popular Japanese film Ju-On: The Grudge written and directed by Takashi Shimizu. It is produced by Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert, and Taka Ichise and is executive produced by Nathan Kahane, Erin Westerman, Brady Fujikawa, Andrew Pfeffer, Roy Lee, Doug Davison, John Powers Middleton and Schuyler Weiss.

Synopsis for The Grudge

A house is cursed by a vengeful ghost that dooms those who enter it with a violent death.

I’m not always big on remakes but with this one, I say why not. I freaking love Lin Shaye and the red band trailer looks pretty good. What are your thoughts? The Grudge is set to unleash January 3rd, 2020!
