RABID and DEAD RINGERS Coming to Blu-ray

Scream Factory has recently announced that two Cronenberg classics are set to make their Blu-ray debut: Rabid and Dead Ringers.

Rabid (1977) stars pornstar Marilyn Chambers as Rose who develops an insatiable blood-lust after undergoing a radical new surgery. With each victim the strange infection spreads, resulting in mass chaos.

Dead Ringers (1988) stars Jeremy Irons in a dual role as twin brothers who are also gynecologists. They take advantage of the fact that no one can tell them apart. However, when a woman enters the picture their relationship begins to deteriorate.

Both films are regarded as classics in the Cronenberg cannon, with Rabid being an influential entry in the “body horror” sub-genre.
