Orion Picks Up ‘Svalta,’ A New Horror Film Starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost

Once Simon Pegg and Nick Frost announced their production company, Stolen Picture, we all hoped they would dip their toes in genre fare. After all, the duo that starred in Shaun of The Dead is clearly comfortable in horror.

Then, we founf out some fantastic news! Orion pictures (Robocop, Silence of the Lambs, Child’s Play) recently purchased a slasher movie pitch called Svalta from the stars of the Cornetto Trilogy. The film will take place on a desolate island where the locals don’t seem to mind living with a mass murderer. As long as the killer is taking out tourists, why should they be bothered?

This sounds like the kind of genre mashup that we’ve been eagerly anticipating for years. Svalta can’t come soon enough!
