Nintendo Announces SNES Classic

Did you miss out on Nintendo’s ultra-popular NES Classic? Don’t fret, because Nintendo has just announced their newest throwback, the SNES Classic! The console will be available in both North America and Europe on September 29th of this year. 

The SNES Classic will include 21 games, including Super Castlevania IV, Super Metroid, Super Ghouls ‘N Ghosts and Contra III: The Alien Wars. Other notable, non-horror games will be Donkey Kong Country, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Super Mario Kart.

Nintendo’s newest console will cost roughly $80 and will come with two corded controllers, an HDMI cable and a USB charger for the console itself. Nintendo experienced significant production issues with the NES Classic, and it became notoriously hard to find before ultimately being discontinued earlier this year. Nintendo has said that they plan on producing more units to avoid the supply issues the NES Classic had.
