‘Nightmare Cinema’ (2018) Is Coming To Theaters And On-Demand

5 Frights To Heat Up Your Summer Nights!

Get your lungs ready for screaming this summer, because Nightmare Cinema hits theaters and On-Demand June 21st! This action-packed, R-rated Spook-o-Rama of an anthology, which was created by the legendary Masters of Horror creator Mick Garris and distributed by Good Deed Entertainment, is sure to quench the bloodlust of even the most discerning horror fans.

Synopsis

In this twisted horror anthology, five strangers are drawn to an abandoned theater and forced to watch their deepest and darkest fears play out before them. Lurking in the shadows is the Projectionist, who preys upon their souls with his collection of disturbing films. As each reel spins its sinister tale, the characters find frightening parallels to their own lives.

With 5 terrifying tales, Nightmare Cinema boasts some great names from the genre all rolled into one terrifying scare-fest:

Alejandro Brugués (ABCs Of Death 2 2014) directed “The Thing in the Woods”

Joe Dante (The Howling 1981) directed “Mirari”

Ryûhei Kitamura (The Midnight Meat Train 2008) directed “Mashit”

David Slade (30 Days of Night 2007) directed “This Way to the Egress”

Mick Garris (The Stand miniseries) directed “Dead”

The films star the following talented actors, who give some really great performances: Sarah Elizabeth Withers (Play by Play TV series), Zarah Mahler (Major Crimes TV series), Richard Chamberlain (Alan Quatermain And The Lost City Of Gold 1986), Maurice Benard (General Hospital TV series), Elizabeth Reaser (Twilight 2008) and Annabeth Gish (Mystic Pizza 1988).

Last summer, I had the opportunity to see Nightmare Cinema as the kickoff film to Fantasia International Film Festival, and I was thoroughly impressed! (Read my review here)

I had a clear favorite out of the bunch of shorts included in Nightmare Cinema, and it stars Mickey Rourke (9 1/2 Weeks 1986) as the The Projectionist. Trust me, horror fans, you will not want to miss this one.
