If you’re a fan of the Conjuring films and the spinoff franchise, Annabelle, then I’ve got some good news for you. A new trailer dropped this week on the newest story involving the creepy toy. Annabelle: Creation is the fourth installment of the Conjuring franchise, but is a prequel in giving the origin of the haunted doll.
Synopsis:
Several years after the tragic death of their little girl, a dollmaker and his wife welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home, soon becoming the target of the dollmaker’s possessed creation, Annabelle.
Personally, I’m not sure why anyone would find that doll cute or want to have it lying around, but I guess if no one did, we would lose a whole subgenre of of movies.
David F. Sandberg (Lights Out) directs Annabelle: Creation from a screenplay by Gary Dauberman, who also wrote Annabelle. Produced by Peter Safran and James Wan, the film stars Stephanie Sigman (Spectre), Talitha Bateman (The 5th Wave), Lulu Wilson (Ouija 2), Philippa Anne Coulthard (After the Dark), Grace Fulton (Badland), Lou Lou Safran (The Choice), Samara Lee (The Last Witch Hunter), and Tayler Buck in her feature film debut, along with Anthony LaPaglia (Without a Trace TV series) and Miranda Otto (The Lord of the Rings trilogy).
