New Pennywise Gets Anime Makeover

Despite skepticism from fans of the original, the new adaptation of Stephen King’s IT is now one of the highest grossing horror films ever made. People can’t get enough of the Losers’ Club or the new Pennywise. While we’re waiting on Chapter 2, what else can be expected from the success of IT? Possibly an anime adaptation?

According to The Nerdist, artist Mike Anderson has given the new Pennywise an anime makeover and it’s horrifyingly perfect. The artwork is both drawn and colored by him; portraying how wicked Pennywise the dancing clown is.

I love the second drawing. It accurately portrays the intense moment where Georgie is about to reach down and grab his boat. Soon he’ll be floating forever.

I love the details in this artwork, especially the look in Pennywise’s eyes, and would love to see more anime Pennywise in the future via any platform. Mike Anderson is a talented and if you would like to see more of his work you can check out his page here – http://mikuloctopus.com/.

Would you be interested in an anime version of Pennywise? And if so, do you think it would only work for the new version of Pennywise? Let us know your thoughts.
