New Actor Added To Kaiju Film ‘The Great Buddha Arrival’!

Another famous name has been added to the roster of The Great Buddha Arrival. Yoshiro Uchida, a child star in the original Gamera film, is returning to his roots to appear in this upcoming kaiju film. Uchida is also known in Japan as a very talented singing artist!

The Great Buddha Arrival is directed by debut feature filmmaker Hiroto Yokokawa. The cast includes legendary actor Akira Takarada (six Godzilla films, including the original), Peggy Neal (X From Outer Space 1967), Yukijiro Hotaru (Gamera trilogy, Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack 2001), Ippei Ohsako and Inge Murata (both from Shin Godzilla 2016), Shelley Sweeney (four Godzilla films), Yuki Morita (Godzilla 2014), Norman England (two Godzilla films), Robert Scott Field (Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah 1991), Masanori Kikuzawa (A Crimson Star 2018), J-Pop superstar Momoka Iwata, Toshi Toda (Orizuru 2006), Yoshiro Uchida (Gamera 1966) and rapper Yuma.
