Mogul Productions, a decentralized film financing, and a movie-based non-fungible token (NFT) platform have some exciting news. They’ve created a selection process for the first-ever blockchain-voted film that will begin on May 31st. Following the closing of this initial submission period, Mogul’s Production Advisory Team headed up by Emmy-winner and Oscar-nominated producer Cindy Cowan (Traffic), Emmy-nominated producer David Cormican (The Tall Man), and award-winning performer Lyriq Bent (The Affair, Book of Negroes), will review and select the top three projects received to advance into the platform’s showcase.
Then Mogul token holders will be able to log in to mogulproductions.com, review available production and team details for each of the three prospective feature film scripts, and vote for the film they want to be awarded funding from Mogul.
From Cindy Cowan: “
I am extremely excited to see how Mogul and Blockchain technology can revolutionize the independent film business. By putting everything on a decentralized ledger and providing access to the community, we will finally have the transparency we need in Hollywood.”
Interested filmmakers can visit my.mogulproductions.com to create a Mogul account and submit a film project for showcase consideration up to the May 31st deadline.
