Milla Jovovich to Star in the Upcoming Hellboy Reboot

It’s being reported that Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil, The Fifth Element) will be in the upcoming Hellboy reboot, playing the Blood Queen. The original title of the film was set to be Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen, so Jovovich is expected to have a significant role in the film.

Milla Jovovich in Resident Evil: The Final Chapter

In addition to Milla Jovovich is David Harbour (Stranger Things) who will be playing the lead role of Hellboy. We think he’s the perfect person for the role since Ron Perlman is no longer playing Hellboy. Ian McShane (American Gods) will be playing Hellboy’s guardian, Professor Broom. In the comic series, Milla Jovovich’s character is a pivotal character in the Hellboy mythology. The Blood Queen is a centuries-old witch who lived and practiced magic during Arthurian times. Pretty cool, huh?

The film is still being worked on, as Aron Coleite is currently working on a rewrite based on the first draft by Andrew Cosby, Christopher Golden and the series’ creator, Mike Mignola.

No release date has been set, but stay tuned for any news regarding the film! The more we hear about the film, the more intriguing it sounds. Will you be watching it when it comes out?

About Matt Stumpf

My name's Matt, and I love all things horror. Books, movies, video games; you name it, I like it. Martyrs is my favorite horror film, and everyone should watch it. I also have a soft-spot for those cheesy 80's slashers. I'm still slightly convinced that Faces of Death is real.
