Mill Creek Entertainment, the recognized leader in the independent home entertainment industry, has received 33 Nominations as part of the 2019 Home Media Awards presented by Media Play News. This annual contest honors the top DVD and Blu-ray releases from the previous year for the entire studio community. Consumers can vote for their favorite titles in each category and votes will be combined with judges scores to determine the winners. Voting ends April 5 and winners will be announced on April 15.
Mill Creek Entertainment leads the overall number of nominations with a total of 33 for 25 unique DVD and Blu-ray releases across 18 categories. Highlights include the SteelBook Blu-ray and DVD release of Osamu Tezuka’s Metropolis with 2 nominations for Best Animation Disc and Best Box Art, while the Collector’s Edition release of The Shield – The Complete Series on Blu-ray which received 3 separate nominations for Best TV Complete Series Set, Best AV Quality/Blu-ray TV and Best Packaging.
Very cool! They’ve really put out a lot of great stuff in the past year. Hopefully they clean up!
