Horror Film ‘Met@slash’ – How Many Horror References Can You Spot?

Sotiris Petridis sends word that his new short horror film, Met@slash, is now available for your viewing enjoyment! This self-referential short horror film contains more than 50 references to classic cinematic horror films. Nods to A Nightmare on Elm Street, Scream, Friday the 13th, Saw, The Shining, and The Blair Witch Project are just the tip of the iceberg.

Met@slash Synopsis

The story takes place on Friday night where a teenage boy is home alone, scrolling through his social media. A killer is on the loose. Will he survive?

Sotiris Petridis and Dimitris Tsakaleas produced and directed the film. Nathan Baesel (Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon) stars! The film weaves a cautionary tale for the audience that warns of the dangers of the internet.

How fun! I spotted a ton of classic film references in there. I’m going to have to watch this thing another half dozen times and make a list, I think. There’s stuff in there everywhere!
