Frankenstein is a name every horror fan knows. It’s the title of a book which was published in 1818 and the moniker of a man who wanted to create life from the dead, and succeeded. It’s a very twisted and chilling tale. Now, we get a film about the mind behind Frankenstein, Mary Shelley herself!

(Synopsis provided by IMDb.com):
This tale centers around the love affair between poet Percy Shelley (Douglas Booth) and 18-year-old Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin (Elle Fanning), which resulted in Mary Shelley writing “Frankenstein.”
Mary Shelley stars Elle Fanning (The Neon Demon), Maisie Williams (Game Of Thrones), Douglas Booth (Pride and Prejudice and Zombies), and Joanne Froggatt (Downton Abbey). Haifaa Al-Mansour is set to direct this promising period piece. Al-Mansour has previously directed Wadjda in 2012 and Women Without Shadows in 2005. Along with Al-Mansour, the film is written by Emma Jensen, who is also the executive producer of Mary Shelley.
Mary Shelley is set to be released on May 25, 2018. I, for one, am excited to see the tale of the woman who created one of the most tragic stories ever written.
