Hello, my name is D and I have a problem. I love enamel pins. I think they are the bee’s knees, and I especially love them when they represent my favorite fandoms. I am a huge fan of mashups, too, and there is an enamel pin company out there called Fractured Pinz that takes some of your favorite horror characters and creates creepy, awesome combinations that you can wear. Check out our unboxing video below, and then keep on reading!
We want to send a huge thanks to Fractured Pinz for sending these pins our way. There was one in particular that really caught my eye, and I am so excited to show to you guys. Check it out!
You guys know by now how much I love Resident Evil (the gaming franchise, not the trash movies). When I saw this Crimson Tongue design, you know I loved it. This gross Licker pin comes in several variations: the standard on the right and the radioactive variation on the left. There are a lot of small details in these pins, but not a lot of color differentiation, so there’s not a lot of room to mess up the details. I really like these a lot. The standard variation is my favorite. You can snag your own Licker for $9.
Also included was this awesome tony badge pin of an ink ribbon. It’s offers a lot of fan service.
If you like Return of the Living Dead, then I have some pins for you. Fractured Pinz offers several designs of your favorite brain eater. The top example is one of the very first pins they ever made. It is numbered to 21/85, and it is currently on sale on the site for only $5! The one on the bottom left is More Brains… Re-chewed. This one is a new and improved version of their original pin, and I really like the changed they made. There is so much detail in the skin texture that it just looks gross, but in a good way. This pin is also $9. Look, there’s a wee badge to match!
Next up from Fractured Pinz, we have a couple badass mash ups. The first of which is a Beetlejuice/The Thing mash… BeetleThing! If Beetlejuice wasn’t creepy enough, this pin pushes him over the edge. I love the color scheme of the purple and greens, and the enamel is in perfect condition. You can get one for your own collection for $9. Another mashup is with Mars Attacks! and the Misfit fiend. As a huge fan of Mars Attacks!, I am pretty excited for this one.
The last items from Fractured Pinz are a few stickers, my favorite of which is Claire’s kill line from the original Resident Evil 2, “You lose, big guy,” after she is given the rocket launcher. Cheesy? Extremely. Awesome? Hell, yeah. We also have a but more Return of the Living Dead but this time, it’s matched with the cover art from the album, Demon Days, from the band Gorillaz. There’s also an unmasked Sam from Trick ‘r’ Treat. I always a fan of stickers!
That’s all for the Fractured Pinz unboxing. I love the mashups and nods to the Resident Evil franchise. As a fan, I think these pieces are fantastic. You can shop these and their other pins and stickers on their website HERE. Even though these items were sent to me, I was not paid for this review, and all opinions on the items are my own.
