Throughout the years, several King Kong movies have comes out, but it’s been a long time since I’ve been this excited to see the big man, again. Check out the official trailer for Kong: Skull Island down below.
Kong: Skull Island is directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts with screenplay/story by Dan Gilroy, Max Borenstein, and John Gatins. By the looks of the official trailer, the graphics look insanely awesome and King Kong is quite possibly more terrifying than ever. Plus, it has an all-star cast: Brie Larson, Tom Hiddleston, Toby Kebbell, Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman, John C. Reilly, and plenty more.
The story revolves around a team of explorers and soldiers come together to venture deep into a mysterious island in the Pacific. It’s a beautiful place but full of dangerous monsters including the mythical King Kong. What will happen when they come face to face?

I really am loving this cast, they give me hope that the story will have strong characters, and I think it will be great to see them work together. Kong looks awesome and it’s been mentioned that they wanted him to have a simple and iconic look. A bit cartoonish with exaggerated features like in the 1933 version. Along with this the song that plays in the opening of the trailer is “Bad Moon Rising” by Creedence Clearwater Revival, hopefully, this is a good indication that the soundtrack will be epic throughout the film.
Overall, I think Kong: Skull Island looks promising. The last Kong film had it’s high and low points with some good star power as well, but I really like the origin of this new story, the simplicity of the monster, and the graphics thus far. We can’t wait to see it when comes to theaters on March 10th! What do you guys think? Will it stand out among the rest of the King Kong franchise?
