Have you ever watched a trailer for a horror movie and it sent chills down your spine? This has only happened to me a handful of times. The most recent one was the trailer for the new horror thriller It Comes At Night. The film drops into theaters on June 9, 2017, and all of us at PopHorror could not be more excited! Check out the trailer below and let us know if it makes the hair on the back of your necks stand up!
Official synopsis of It Comes At Night:
Secure within a desolate home as an unnatural threat terrorizes the world, the tenuous domestic order he has established with his wife and son is put to the ultimate test with the arrival of a desperate young family seeking refuge. Despite the best intentions of both families, paranoia and mistrust boil over as the horrors outside creep ever-closer, awakening something hidden and monstrous within him as he learns that the protection of his family comes at the cost of his soul.
It Comes At Night was written and directed by the award winning Trey Edward Shults (Krisha), produced by A24 Films and stars the talented Joel Edgerton (The Gift 2015). Hearing Shultz and Edgerton’s names being attached makes me that much more excited for this film. The trailer doesn’t seem to give too much away. The mystery behind it makes it so enticing! I feel as though trailers nowadays give too much away and show too much so that you’ve basically seen the movie before you even hit the theater. It Comes At Night’s trailer has me on the edge of my seat in anticipation of what’s to come! All I really know is that it is something supernatural. Is it a ghost? Perhaps an alien? Maybe a possessed demon? The less I know before I see the movie, the better! Will you be seeing It Comes At Night in June? What do you think the supernatural aspect of it could be? Let us know in the comments!
