European Release Date Set for ‘Inside’ Remake

The upcoming remake of the brutal French film Inside has been given a release date for Europe. It will also be screening at the London FrightFest, according to Bloody Disgusting, and then hitting video on demand outlets in Europe on October 7th. Here is the synopsis of the remake:

Pregnant and depressed, a young widow tries to rebuild her life following the fateful car accident where she lost her husband and partially lost her hearing. Now, about to go into labor, she’s living in a remote house in the suburbs when, one Christmas night, she receives an unexpected visit from another woman with a devastating objective: to rip the child she’s carrying from inside her. But a mother’s fury when it comes to protecting her child should never be underestimated. Rachel Nichols and Laura Harring play the two main roles in this brutal and bloody hand-to-hand combat.

It will be interesting to see how they do things with this version. The French version is legendary in its brutality. When Martyrs was remade in the U.S., the new version was a much more watered down film compared to the brutality of the original. Many are expecting the same to happen with Inside, but the jury is still out. Below is the trailer for the Inside remake. What do you think? Will it be as gory and brutal as the original? Or will it get the Martyrs treatment?

The film is directed by Miguel Ángel Vivas and will star Rachel Nichols, Laura Harring and Stany Coppet.
