Well, this year is becoming more fantastic little by little with exciting horror news. Not only do I love anthologies, but I especially enjoy horror Halloween themed ones and 10/31/16 is just that! They have just announced their official directors for the project and I, as well as the rest of PopHorror, couldn’t be more excited!
Official Press Release:
“A Halloween treat bag of all the things that go bump in the night. From masked killers to scarecrows, witches and tricksters. There’s a scare for everyone in this anthology of horror and the macabre from the creators of The Barn and Volumes of Blood.“
Red Letter Entertainment, Inc. is bringing fans the directorial debut from Rocky Gray who is the composer of The Barn and Killing Floor 2 as well as the two time Grammy winning musician and former drummer for Evanescence. This is a new horror anthology along the lines of cult favorites such as V/H/S/ and Creepshow with a wonderful cast coming together to put a twisted spin on tales of macabre. 10/31/16 is executive produced by the one and only P.J. Starks, creator of the critically acclaimed Volumes of Blood franchise. Jason Turner (The Dooms Chapel Horror, Volumes of Blood: Horror Stories) has also joined the project as a writer.
In addition to this, the moment you’ve all been waiting for, the official directors who have signed on to the project:
- Justin M. Seaman (The Barn)
- Zane Hershberger (Devilution)
- John William Holt (The Dooms Chapel Horror)
- Brett DeJager (Bonejangles)
- Rocky Gray (Directorial Debut)
I’ve been excited about 10/31/16 ever since I heard about it and even more so after the teaser trailer and official poster were released, but now I simply can’t wait for to watch this. It’s an epic Halloween story with a talented group of people involved in it via both crew members and cast. The anthology is slated for a August 2017 release, just in time for my birthday and I can’t wait! Until then, let us know what you think and make sure to follow their Facebook and Twitter page as well.
