Some amazing horror icons are teaming up for a brand new horror comedy Hell’s Kitty! Doug Jones (The Shape of Water), Dale Midkiff (Pet Sematary), Michael Berryman (The Hills Have Eyes), Adrienne Barbeau (The Fog), Courtney Gains and John Franklin (The Children of The Corn), Lynn Lowry (Cat People), Kelli Maroni (Night of The Comet), Ashley C. Williams (The Human Centipede) and Barbara Nedeljakova (Hostel) team up Nicholas Tana’s film based on the eponymous web series and comic book about a jealous, woman-hating cat.

Check out the trailer below and read on for all the details! This looks like a fun one!

Hell’s Kitty Synopsis

Nick, a Hollywood screenwriter, discovers his cat has become murderously possessed, and will stop at nothing to rid him of any women in his life. As his life unravels out of control, Nick must find a way to have his kitty exorcised of the demonic spirit haunting her and creating a body count.

Hell’s Kitty is written and directed by Nicholas Tana and produced by Denise Acosta. The film was inspired by Tana’s experiences living with what he calls “a professedly possessed cat.” Keep your eyes peeled for familiar character names like Father Damian (Jones), Detective Pluto (Berryman), Dr. Laurie Strodes (Nina Kate) and Mrs. Carrie (Barbeau)

Characters are named after classic horror movie characters (Jones plays Father Damien, Berryman is Detective Pluto, Nina Kate is Dr. Laurie Strodes, Barbeau is Mrs Carrie). We hear that the tone is reminiscent of some of the ‘80’s greatest horror comedies. This film has PopHorror written all over it!

Don’t get the wrong idea. These guys are not cat haters. As a matter of fact, the film’s creators have teamed up with Hollyshorts Monthly Screenings and the TLC Chinese Theater to raise funds for FixNation, a non-profit company that runs a free, full-time spay/neuter clinic with two full-time veterinarians who are capable of sterilizing as many as 100 cats per day and find homes for them as well.

So keep your eyes peeled for Hell’s Kitty, which will be available on all VOD platforms on March 13th and on DVD March 27th through Wild Eye Releasing.

Wow, what a cast! This looks like a great time. What do you think? Will you check out Hell’s Kitty in March? Tell us in the comments!
