‘To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story’ Documentary

The man, the myth, the legend, the horror icon. Masterfully Macabre Entertainment just recently announced that they have put the finishing touches on the documentary about the life of Kane Hodder. To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story is a personal and emotional look into the life of the legendary horror icon.

The biographical documentary features interviews with horror legends such as Bruce Campbell (The Evil Dead), Robert Englund (A Nightmare on Elm Street), and Cassandra Peterson (Elvira: Mistress of the Dark).

To Hell and Back is a harrowing story of a stuntman overcoming a dehumanizing childhood in Sparks, Nevada, that was filled with torment and bullying. After surviving a near death burn accident, Hodder worked his way up through Hollywood, leading to his ultimate rise as Jason Voorhees in the Friday the 13th series and making countless moviegoers forever terrified of hockey masks and summer camp. After decades of watching Kane Hodder on screen, get ready to meet the man behind the mask in To Hell and Back – an uniquely human story about one of cinema’s most vicious monsters.

To Hell and Back had a very successful Indiegogo campaign. That alone goes to show that horror fans around the world are willing to support indie projects such as this. The documentary has been submitted to many film festivals around the world and will hopefully be in circuit throughout the rest of the year.
